Endless Shelf Collection – Bookcase

Endless Shelf is the bookcase designed by Werner Aisslinger for Porro in 1996, now reissued as an expression of a design that has retained its relevance over time. Its name, “endless”, conveys the idea behind the project: an essential system in which a few elements generate an architectural and visually continuous structure. The bookcase stems from the combination of self-supporting panels and die-cast aluminium joints, which define its distinctive geometry through X, T and L-shaped connections. The rigour of the structure meets the materiality of dark-stained walnut, composed of solid wood strips placed side by side to create a single surface with a deep, soft appearance. Endless Shelf thus goes beyond its simple storage function to become an architectural element within the space. The rhythm of the panels, the precision of the connections and the warm presence of wood create a bookcase with a strong identity, able to accommodate books and objects without overwhelming the space. A Porro project in which functionality, materiality and formal research come together in a contemporary bookcase with a distinctive character, designed to integrate naturally into the architecture.
