Zenucchi’s unfailing flair for a tasty evening. This was the event that took place on 9 June at Zenucchi Lab in Via Tasso, Bergamo, during which the guests were treated to an exquisite tasting of no fewer than seven rice-based first courses, expertly cooked by the renowned chef Andrea Dotti.
All washed down with a delicate wine from Valpolicella, which is not a random provenance, but is the same land as Minotti Cucine, the famous furniture brand, that presented its brand new Tòla kitchen, the chef’s worktop for the evening’s food preparation. An unusual but well-thought-out name, because it corresponds to the term in the Veneto region for a wooden board and table. Inspired by this concept, Tòla is a kitchen counter top made of heat-treated ash wood planks, skilfully bonded together to exalt all its energy. Seven of the sixteen centimetres thick material form the load-bearing architectural structure, in which the pipes and electrical cables are positione, while the large horizontal surface becomes a place for washing, preparing and cooking food and, in the cantilevered Tòla version, also a place for consumption. Tòla, an example of minimalist Minotti Cucine efficiency that delighted all the guests at the event, which was also attended by Minotti Cucine’s founder, Alberto Minotti, who was welcomed by the always cordial hosts Giacomo and Amedeo Zenucchi.
