Artist biography:
Bruno Lucchi was born in Levico Terme in 1951, where he still lives and works. He studied at the Art Institute of Trento, completing his education at the Academy of Fine Arts in Urbino.
Since 1991, he has held 150 solo exhibitions and participated in more than 400 group exhibitions, presented in leading public and private venues and prestigious art galleries in Italy and abroad. His artistic research encompasses materials such as bronze, semi-fire clay, porcelain, Corten steel and mosaic.
His greatest concern is that his works might become mere decorative objects. Ordinary furnishings placed without attention or respect for their spiritual and sacred nature, for their vocation to bear witness to a world beyond, one that humanity longs for but cannot remember. For this reason, Bruno Lucchi’s figures stand on pedestals that separate them from people, allowing them to maintain their connection with the energies of creation.
Without space, these figures cannot live. They are born from the four elements: air and earth that shape them, fire that gives them form, and air and light that permeate them.
