Salone del Mobile Bergamo

Salone del Mobile Bergamo

A contemporary SPACE, with a modern style, not minimal and impersonal but warm and cosy, with stylish designer pieces, is Zenucchi’s proposal for the Salone del Mobile, held from 18 to 26 November 2006.

position a low, narrow panel that backlights the entire wall between the base and wall units, becoming a true light point, makes Boffi’s minimalist model even brighter. The PH Artichoke lamp by Louis Poulsen dominates and embellishes the space; a historical and famous item, it ideally reproduces the appearance of an artichoke and was designed in 1958 by Paul Henningsen. Finally, the scent of vanilla from elegant essence diffusers delights the nose. The living area is just as spacious and comfortable and is furnished with low furniture and historical designer pieces, such as the two Delta armchairs by Frau, in leather and calf hair, that reproduce the model designed by Gio Ponti in 1965; instead, the large white sofa by Minotti, in front of which there is a round coffee table by Cappellini, is contemporary. The NAC Sound speakers of the home theatre system hang from the ceiling like lamps or ornamental vases. Made of porcelain laminated in platinum or aluminium, they can be connected wirelessly and, unlike the usual speakers that create clutter and have to be hidden among the furniture, they contribute to the furnishing, giving the room character. Like in the living room, the home theatre system was also installed in the kitchen, with a 50-inch and 42-inch screen respectively; both were customised with a frame system, a specially designed frame to make the technology less invasive and hide the various control knobs and buttons. The bathtub has character, in stark contrast with the prevailing trends: not a wraparound shell, but a Corian cube hollowed out on the inside, where the water cascades down like a waterfall. The two blocks that give life to the washbasins designed, like the bathtub, by Boffi, are in Corian too. The fitness area is highly technological: alongside the classic treadmill, there is Kinesis, the innovative Technogym machine to maintain fitness and of which Zenucchi is the exclusive distributor for Bergamo and its surroundings: 1.5 m wide and about 2 m high, it is only 50 cm thick, meaning that it can be easily positioned in any corner of the house; with its essential and elegant design, available in polished steel or in black with a wooden backrest, when open it is a mini-gym with different types of equipment, while it is not a nuisance when closed. To cool down the room in hot weather and during physical activity, a fan, also by Boffi, reproduces the shape of a helicopter propeller, and an essence diffuser emanates a fresh and invigorating aroma, recreating the atmosphere of a modern spa. Thanks to home automation, a small touch screen controls and connects the home’s technological systems, making it possible to turn on lights, adjust air conditioning and heating, and raise and lower volumes in every room of the house; functions that visitors to the Salone del Mobile can try out, experiment with, and imagine in their own home.
