XXIV COMPASSO D’ORO 2016

The winners of the 2016 edition of the ADI Compasso d’Oro award were celebrated at Palazzo Isimbardi in Milan: 13 Compasso d’Oro awards, plus 56 Honourable Mentions, 3 prizes and 9 certificates for the Targa Giovani, and 12 Compasso d’Oro awards for lifetime achievement, of which 9 were awarded to Italian designers and entrepreneurs and 3 to international designers.

The list of our Brands’ products that received an Honourable Mention are listed below:

• Aim Flos – ADI Design Index 2014, Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec. The traditional centrality of the lighting point is revolutionised by the ability to freely direct the suspension wires.
• Brick Roda – ADI Design Index 2014, Gordon Guillaumier. The top, made from teak fittings, creates a rhythmic pattern similar to that of brick walls.
• Closer Zucchetti Rubinetteria – ADI Design Index 2015, Diego Grandi. Wall-mounted shower head inspired by the archetypal angle-poise lamp.
• Kayak Alias – ADI Design Index 2015, Patrick Norguet – Studio Norguet Design. A product that combines high quality cabinet-making solutions with research oriented towards maximum reduction of the thickness of the moulded shell.
• Myrtle Company: B&B Italia – ADI Design Index 2014, Antonio Citterio. A collection of outdoor seats that demonstrates the design aim of combining classicism and formal elegance in each piece.
• Salinas Boffi – ADI Design Index 2015, Patricia Urquiola. Kitchen system with a modular matt black metal frame, on which framed doors with lightweight panels in different materials and finishes are mounted.
• Scaletta Tubes Radiatori – ADI Design Index 2015, Elisa Giovannoni. Electric aluminium towel warmer. Inspired by the step ladder archetype but changes its function. Available in two versions: wall-mounted and freestanding.
• Tetatet Davide Groppi – ADI Design Index 2014, Davide Groppi. LED technology combined with induction charged batteries are used to light the centre of the table.
• Wazebo Zucchetti Rubinetteria – Kos Brand- ADI Design Index 2015, Palomba Serafini Associati. Outdoor shower able to transfer the comfort, protection and functions of the shower cubicle into the outdoor environment without sacrificing the relationship with its surroundings.
