THE FUTURE IS CHILDS PLAY!

THE FUTURE IS CHILD’S PLAY!

Poltrona Frau supports the new Farm Children’s Museum in Favara with three Limited Editions of an icon to share a dream. See them in our showroom!

Poltrona Frau shares a dream with the Farm Cultural Park in Favara, Sicily. The Tolentino-based company supports the Farm Children’s Museum, an exciting new challenge in the cultural and social regeneration of the Sicilian city. A contemporary workshop where children can express their imagination and creative energy in total freedom, working with shapes, materials and colours. Education in art as individual and collective expression and as a training ground for critical thinking, indispensable for shaping the citizens of tomorrow.

At the heart of the new project in support of the Farm Children’s Museum is the iconic Vanity Fair armchair.

Poltrona Frau asked the children of Tolentino to reinterpret the Baby and Mini versions of the Vanity Fair. A cheerful and colourful design was born from the creativity of the young designers during a workshop held at the Poltrona Frau Museum. An ultra-contemporary geometric pixel composition. The new upholstery of the two Limited Editions: 50 examples of the Vanity Fair Baby and 100 of the miniature.

In an exciting passing of the baton from the children of Tolentino to the children of Favara, part of the funds raised from the sale of this double, playful version of the Vanity Fair will contribute to the creation of the Farm Children’s Museum.

The project is completed with a third, evocative interpretation of the iconic armchair. The model in the classic size comes with the special Pelle Frau® Nubuck upholstery in sepia tones, inspired by Arab Sicily and the island’s tufa architecture. Only 75 examples for a limited edition and, again, a portion of the funds raised donated to the Farm Children’s Museum.

The museum-workshop for children is a new addition to the Farm Cultural Park, thanks to which the dilapidated historic centre of Favara has gained a new identity since 2010. The ambitious project of social transformation through art animated by Andrea Bartoli and Florinda Saieva, two visionary professionals, attracted international artists, architects and designers who frescoed the facades of the buildings, transforming them into open-air installations.
