Vera Collection – Table lamp

Vera by Davide Groppi is a table lamp that interprets light as a small gesture of magic. Designed in 2026, it stems from an essential synthesis of pure geometries and transparent materials, transforming an everyday object into a presence capable of surprising. The project is built around a borosilicate glass cone enclosing a cylindrical aluminium base. When the lamp is switched off, the transparent volume seems almost to lose its function: the light source disappears, leaving only the clear, lightweight glass. When switched on, however, the light appears suspended within it, creating a visual effect that plays with perception and with the boundary between reality and illusion. Davide Groppi’s research is also expressed in the way the light is created. An optical system based on refraction combines direct, indirect and diffused light, while the reflector helps provide precise and comfortable illumination. The intensity can be adjusted using the dimmer integrated into the base, allowing the lamp to change its presence according to the atmosphere of the space. Vera thus embodies one of the central ideas of Davide Groppi’s work: reducing form to the essential to give light the leading role. A table lamp in which transparency, geometry and technology come together to create a discreet object, capable of transforming the perception of space through the mere presence of light.
