Poetry Collection – Carpet

The Poetry Earth 200 rug by Kasthall, designed by Maja Johansson Starander, interprets weaving as a free and tactile composition. The asymmetric design develops through colour transitions that fade from darker tones into lighter shades, creating a surface rich in depth and variation. Made with wool and linen yarns, Poetry combines the natural texture of the materials with the use of chenille yarns, which accentuate the colour transitions and the visual softness of the surface. The pattern extends to the edges of the rug, where three broad colour bands complete the composition. The loom-woven construction enhances the characteristics of the textile and makes each rug slightly different, preserving the artisanal character of Kasthall’s production. Poetry Earth 200 is individually made at the Kinna factory in Sweden. Backing included.
