Massicci Collection – Countertop basin

Massicci is the countertop washbasin designed by Marco Zito for Agape, a project born from research into the expressive qualities of glass and its potential to become an architectural element with a strong material presence. Created by casting molten glass into a mould and subsequently shaping it through fire, the washbasin takes on a monolithic form characterised by a subtly faceted surface, a natural trace of the cooling process. Material thus becomes an integral part of the design, revealing depth, transparency and variations that change in relation to light and water. In transparent and amber tones, Massicci expresses an essential and almost sculptural beauty, where the solidity of glass meets the lightness of light. A contemporary designer washbasin in which form and material coincide, bringing to the bathroom a piece capable of transforming an everyday function into a visual and tactile experience.
