Grillo Collection – Floor lamp

Grillo by Davide Groppi is an outdoor floor lamp born from a simple and precise idea: bringing light into the garden with the lightness of a small natural element. Designed by Daniele Sprega in 2012, it consists of a slender stem emerging from the ground and a small adjustable LED spotlight, almost like a discreet point of light among the vegetation. The project is designed to illuminate elements that naturally belong to the landscape: a flower, a plant, a shrub or a pathway. The light source does not seek to dominate the space, but rather to accompany it and enhance selected details, creating a precise and measured illumination. The essential form of the stem and spotlight minimises the presence of the object, allowing light to define its relationship with the surroundings. Grillo thus interprets outdoor lighting as a way of experiencing the landscape even after dark. The AISI 316L stainless steel structure and IP67 protection rating make the project suitable for outdoor use, while the adjustable spotlight allows the light to be directed with precision. More than a simple garden lamp, Grillo is a small lighting device capable of transforming the perception of outdoor space. A project in which design, discretion and light come together to create an illumination that emerges from the landscape and accompanies its presence.
