A precious object once owned by Charles and Ray Eames, the House Bird was for decades a decorative element within the eclectic arrangement of furnishings at the Eames House. Charles and Ray Eames used to enrich the diverse interiors of their private home with objects and accessories they brought back from their travels. For more than fifty years, a wooden bird has stood at the centre of their living room, a piece of American folk art that was evidently very dear to the couple and often appeared as an accessory in photographs of Charles and Ray Eames.
