A project that tells the story of the dialogue between history, architecture, and the natural strength of the landscape.
An architecture that speaks of sea, light, and silence. The spaces, distributed over two levels, embrace those who inhabit them with a natural ease that reflects the beauty of slow living. The project, designed by architect Emanuele Rosso of RE Design Studio in collaboration with Zenucchi Design Code, had a clear goal: to create an elegant and functional holiday home without losing its connection to the history of the place. From the entrance, a few steps lead down to the living area. Here, a Poliform kitchen with a Dekton countertop interacts with a Porro table and Vitra chairs, in a space that opens to natural light. The living area is furnished with a sofa bed and a B&B Italia armchair in soft blue tones, while a niche houses a custom-made unit with an iron shelf and top — a detail that combines aesthetics and functionality.
Materials and lights that shape the home
Parquet flooring runs seamlessly throughout both levels, while lime-plastered walls add texture and highlight the historic vaults. Lighting becomes a true protagonist, tracing plays of light and shadow that enhance the architectural details: among the key elements, Parentesi by Flos and Masai by Davide Groppi, complemented by wall lights and LED profiles that create intimate, balanced atmospheres. Descending to the lower level, you enter the sleeping area: a corridor with custom cabinetry leads to the twin bedroom and the master suite, where every detail has been designed to measure. The wardrobe and recessed headboard with iron supports and padded cushions define the space with essential elegance and comfort. The dedicated bathroom, finished in dark resin, features a Boffi monoblock vanity and a backlit mirror — a distinctive touch of design that never compromises on purity of form. This is a home designed to be lived barefoot, where light, materials, and furnishings interact in perfect harmony, creating a haven of serenity and contemporary beauty.
